Is This The Same Woman?
Wag the Dog Ukraine War Filmmaking
Okay, this is a McDonald’s post, and yes that is a Sage Hana Productions shibboleth.
It refers to Jim Gaffigan’s comedy routine, “it’s all McDonald’s”.
But if I explain the shibboleth, it’s not really a shibboleth any more!
Anyway, this is probably more of a Chili’s post. There is some meat to this exercise.
Shout out to Mark Crispin Miller and Gonzalo Lira and MCM commenter, The Watchman.
Gonzalo Lira is exposing some of the Wag the Dog filmmaking that is going on to sell war propaganda.
Here is that video, which Mark highlighted in his post.
As you can see, the aptly named “The Watchman” noted that this “soldier” with the pristine focus grouped wardrobe straight out of a film production strongly resembles the Nazi (not sure we need to use the prefix “neo”) Ukrainian youth, Vita Zavareukha, who was the focus of this 2015 Daily Mail article.
Now keep in mind that article was seven years ago. So the Daily Mail screen grabs would be seven years prior to Lira’s YouTube screen grabs.
Is Grown Up Vita the woman in the Lira video?
Pretty strong resemblance!
I think it’s her. The nose.
Remember this post? Acting is hard. Filmmaking is hard.
Okay…I gotta go to the market. Get in front of those food shortages and stuff.
Bonus stacking. Now shout out to Margaret Anna Alice in the same damn comment section with the mini-Nazi Ukraine little girl, a young Vita in training.
This is not a McDonald’s post anymore. This is just sad and terrifying.
Interesting...looks like the same scarf as the Daily Mail photo, too, imo!
EDIT: I see, now, he speculates on the scarf for other reasons, in the video. Personally, I think it's the same scarf from the swastika pic, in 2015.
Heil Barbie.
