The process of understanding is thus:

1. What is it that makes you a Jew?

2. This will usually go to either race or Sky Fairy Text adherence usually. If it goes to "secular" or "cultural" Jew taxonomy, probe further. A lot of people are secular, are they also Jews? What is it that defines your Jewish Membership then?

3. If race. Do you believe that your race is superior and as such deserves stip of land and to ethnically cleanse any who stand on your way?

4. If religion. Do you believe in the following texts which form the bedrock for the Sky Fairy to have a special relationship with special privileges and responsibilities and commandments to follow?

5. If no, then what exactly do you believe and why do you suppose the special texts are still present in the holy texts?

Genesis 17:9 right after that says: And God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.

But, alas, they did not keep that covenant and follow the word so a new covenant was made superseding the first and an exclusive everlasting possession was lost to Abrahams tribe.
