Acting is Hard

Alright, this will be a McDonald’s post.

For those of you who are new around here, the McDonald’s reference is a spin off on Comedian Jim Gaffigan’s “It’s all McDonald’s” routine.

The root theme of Gaffigan’s bit is that all of our pointless guilty pleasures such as celebrity gossip and the like are akin to McDonald’s.

One of the fun, empty calorie posts that I like to do, you know when I’m not rage stroking about people trying to kill us with bioweapons, or I’m too frazzled to bust out satirical cryptic short story content, is to post videos and gauge credibility.

It’s like a game!

There is kind of a serious theme underneath, sure, and here it is: We live in a world of top to bottom lies and propaganda and psy ops. And it’s alternately hilarious/infuriating how bad the ops are staged at times.

Because acting is hard.

Here’s how I got going on today’s McDonald’s post.

Last night I was reading this post on Mark Crispin Miller’s stack, (I will have something else from there, probably tomorrow):

Comments in that post sent me down the Boston Marathon rabbit hole, which Mark seems to suggest was a giant hoax, and that got me thinking about this video which I had seen already featuring our old WEF pal, Dr. Leana Wen.
