Political Strategy Question: How are the Trump Republicans going to create separation between Fauci and Trump?

Okay, I just saw this article in Daily Mail, and I have one question.

It is 100% sincere.

I have zero illusion that we are actually going to investigate past Fauci to HHS, DARPA, BARDA, DOD, etc. (Would be nice sure!)

But how are you going to prosecute Anthony Fauci and not have it reflect back on Donald Trump?

This is purely a Laser Pointer type question.
