Plausible pushback of Geert Vanden Bossche’s Doom Paul “It’s happening!” warnings is that it’s all just fear porn and all these cases are just the result of increased testing, and anyway (somewhat less plausible, but at this point we are arguing religion), if hospitalizations are increasing, how can we trust that number either?
And this is where even dueling rationales can be swapped back and forth to create whatever reality is useful to the person constructing the World of Data that they wish to live in.
The bullshit on every metric of the Coordinated Game Planned Psy Op Plandemic can thus alternately be used to make the case that:

We know that hospitals were greatly incentivized to diagnose COVID, and attribute deaths “with COVID” to deaths “from COVID”.
And were also given Incentive Structures to banish effective treatments, to deny early treatments (“go home and come back when you are almost dead and we’ll finish the job from there!”), and to use treatments that result in death.
And the doctors that resisted this were hunted down and smeared and fired and have had their licenses threatened.

We haven’t even gotten to the Incentive Structures to shade and manipulate “scientific studies” and even to cause researchers to print one conclusion in the headline and bury the actual conclusions in charts at the end of the study write ups.
The corruption of the data on every level, every metric, has created a World of Truthiness and Fantasy.
COVID is either over and that’s thanks to the miraculous Wonder Drugs or COVID is far from over, rising again, and look over there Virulent Omicron Variants and did you try Paxlovid ‘cuz Ivermectin is horsey paste, bro.
I can cynically imagine a world wherein if it comes time to force people back into their homes and lockdown the asymptomatic again…then Notorious GVB’s dark warnings will now be repackaged as brilliant and plausible by the Corporate News Propaganda Arms and now he is not a quack and he will be re-framed as a wise sage (see what I did there?) and Corporate News will do some kind of bullshit WMD mea culpa and jump on his bandwagon.

When good reliable data is not available and the data that is available is open to any number of confounding influences…we are almost back to an utter non-reality based World.

Numbers now mean whatever you want them to mean, and various people want numbers to mean various things at various times and switch back and forth when it suits them.
This is analogous to saying, “The Mainstream Media is bullshit!” and then turning around and citing a mainstream media source when it fits the premise.
I run into this all the time. I’m aware that there is a conflict there.
The All Cause Mortality rates and Decreasing Fertility Rates seem to me to be the numbers most reliably tracked that cannot be explained away.
The Dying Young People rates are now being explained with Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
Forgive me if I cynically posit that Foundations which fund study of atrial fibrillation and are used as Expert Sources in SADS articles are just trying to get out in front of the rising tide of Sudden Adult Experimental mRNA Death Syndrome.
I’m not sure what you do about this.
The well is poisoned so badly, and the stats are rigged so horribly that this may come back to people just waking up one day and saying,
“Boy, another celebrity died? Another comic? Another dude down at work died of a stroke, a heart attack, or has Bell’s Palsy, another athlete is down, my healthy niece just died in her sleep…I wonder if it’s the vaccines?”
“I am still sick for the third time this summer, and I’m wearing two masks and I’ve had four shots…maybe it is true?”

This is one reason why I focus on structural legal things -- at some point the obsessive focus on trying to parse the data even after knowing that the data was hopelessly manipulated and unsound — stopped making any sense.
Goes back to Rumsfeld’s known unknowns, unknown unknowns, and Karl Rove:

But the data is, as you say, beyond corrupted.
And I find your scenario of a sudden rehabilitation of GVB for the purposes of more lockdowns extremely plausible.
