"To Get Promoted in the Government"

Something a lot of people don't appreciate is that to get promoted in the government, you normally have to tow the party line for a long long time (or do someone a political/financial favor and get an executive appointment). For this reason, all the people who remain in there tend to be extremely blue-pilled, whereas the people who are competent, free thinking and question narratives either pushed out or have to hide everything they believe to keep their job. There are always going to be a few people like the whistleblower you mentioned, but this is pretty standard in government because advancement is NOT based on merit, whereas the private sector does advance based on merit (and pays a lot more) so everyone who is qualified normally goes over to the private sector. In a lot of ways, the main incentive to remain in the government is to get a pay off for being corrupt and through the revolving door land a cushy job with the industry you helped while there. Amongst other things, this is why we have an epidemic of corrupt and incompetent people in the federal government who did an unbelievably bad job handling COVID-19 (which I've tried to document as best as I can throughout my SS).
One of the better pieces of evidence for this systemic corruption and incompetence can be found within the GAO's report (the GAO investigates for congress and is one of the least corrupt parts of the government) on the COVID-19 response they were required to do as a result of the COVID-19 relief bills. Within that report (which I discussed here)
a key discovery the GAO made was that there were no mechanisms were in place for whistleblowers to report corruption in the branches of the government handling COVID-19 and no protections for them doing so. This is a big deal because it's well established that if those protections are not in place, corruption festers and whistleblowers never come forward (so medicare for example requires all places that receive medicare to have those mechanisms in place).
When the GAO asked those in charge of the departments (e.g. FDA or CDC) why this had not been done, they either couldn't given a reason why they had not gotten around to this for decades (Fauci & co did the same thing when he was caught experimenting on people and illegally failing to disclose he was making money of those tests) OR they stated it was because no corruption within the department so there was no need to report it (which effectively means the leadership is systemically corrupt).
This was one quote from the GAO's report (more can be found within the above article): “The absence of specific procedures may explain why the four selected agencies did not identify any formally reported internal allegations of potential political interference in scientific decision-making from 2010 through 2021.”
My hope is that the broad consequences of this corruption will awaken the public and at long last bring public awareness to this issue. I have never worked within the federal government, but as an outside, I and many others have found it is immensely challenging to get any positive or sensible plan moved through the bureaucracy unless money is there to pay off the right people. Give or take every government in history goes through cycles of prosperity that are tied to meritocracy followed by declines that are tied to corruption, and eventually once things decline enough, reforms to purge the corruption happen and the prosperity builds back up (for instance consider how the decline of our educational system has resulted in much lower quality civil servants entering government; this became much worse during Obama's presidency because he shifted the qualification for federal postitions from previous accomplishments to having Ivy league degrees which have largely gone down the drain).
I am hopeful we are close to that change happening, because the corruption and economic decline we are experiencing is really hurting a lot of people.

Trump Chief of Staff Susan Wiles mebbbeeeeeswamp?
Federal lobbying disclosures reveal that newly Trump-Appointed White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was a registered lobbyist starting in November 2017 until at least April 2024.[7]
Wiles was registered to lobby the federal government for 42 different clients, including large corporations, government contractors, and business associations.[8]
On behalf of her clients, Wiles lobbied the White House, Congress, and at least eight federal agencies about regulations, federal policy, and business development.[9]
Wiles’ federal lobbying clients have included:
– A waste management company that has resisted removing nuclear waste from its radioactive landfill.[10]
– A foreign copper and gold mining company that wants to eliminate federal opposition to its plan to dig a massive mine in a pristine watershed.[11]
– A tobacco company that sought to block federal health restrictions on its candy-flavored cigars, which the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found are attractive to kids.[12]
– A foreign news company whose owner has been indicted for money laundering.[13]
– A foreign mining private equity firm seeking approval to develop an open-pit leach gold mine on federal public lands.[14]Wiles also lobbied on behalf of a foreign political party.[15] According to Foreign Agents Registration Act disclosures filed by Wiles or on her behalf, she lobbied for The People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria to provide support regarding its relations with U.S. government officials, U.S. businesses, and non-governmental audiences.[16]
Probably nothing. ::rocks back and forth in fetal position::

I am just riffing.
SH: I am just riffing.
Me: Me riff too. If military is really cleaning house they need big diversions using attention grabbing puppets performing amazing feats - stupid feats especially attract full attention. The more hypocritical and extreme the circus show the better and best while munching something like popcorn... eeerrrr.... I mean bread. We won't know the truth until the end of the performance and the meeting where they pick and choose what info we incompetents can be trusted with knowing.
***end of riff***
When that dude's helicopter crashed in the desert, I stopped receiving emails from a Nigerian Prince who needed my help to move 40M US$ from his old account to to my bank.
I'm not saying Trump's helpers stopped the biggest internet scam of all time, but I'm also not selling gold shoes or steaks, either.
