This is a true story.
There was a guy who was a master carpenter who collected every magazine, book and newspaper article about UFOs ever published. He died 5 years ago.....but when he was in his 20s, he had a lawsuit against either his employer or the Federal government or both, to stop them from collecting money from his paycheck for Social Security. He said it was unlawful to have to have a Social Security number and he relinquished his. He actually won that lawsuit....but when he was older, and bathing in THC, he decided he WANTED his social security, and petitioned to get a Social security number from the government AND whatever Social Security money he felt he'd earned. He was successful in that as well.

What he was not successful at was sailing to Middle Earth, which had been his lifelong dream. He'd intended on building a super sailboat and sailing into the North Pole (think it was North, not South, not sure) and living with the Aliens in the Middle Earth realm.
For this sailing ship, he'd need the biggest timbers still available, like the vikings had centuries ago, so he researched and found there was still some super big spruce on islands in Alaska.
He came and worked in Alaska as a carpenter and schemed on getting those big trees.
He hired my ex husband on some small remodeling jobs and was determined that I would be the seamstress for his massive canvas sails for his giant sailboat.
His carpentry company was called United Global Mankind. (!)
I hate sewing, and I definitely did not plan on sailing to Middle Earth and had never seen a UFO - unlike this gentleman and a French friend of mine who pronounced UFO very cutely, like YOUFO - and I flat out refused the offer to sew my way into Middle Earth and Aliens.
Not long after, this man hang glided from a 3000 ft mountain here and crashed. He broke half the bones in his body but lived.
But as I said, he never made it to the Aliens in Middle Earth.
