So it’s becoming more horrible over time. Is there any other place we can migrate before Substack detonates the stack not so much due to malice but more so the whole thing becomes unusable?
If I removed all paid Substack shitfuckery, how bad is it for the reader? This platform.
I do rely on the money to Kofi and Smash but since I began crossing the 🇮🇱 Rubicon, the paid sub (was it botted out as long as I stayed on proper message?) hemmhorraged anyway.

The only reason to have paid is to keep the spammers out of your chat, afaik. I have heard that blocking "ethan" doesn't work unless only paid subscribers can start threads.
But does Substack let you know when an individual subscriber has renewed or does it just randomly forward the money? Like do you get a message that AJLG has renewed their subscription or is it just my yearly subscription money that ends up with you with no record of who has renewed their subscription? I’d rather a system where you knew it was me (or whoever) has renewed their subscription.
You can choose to get alerts when they un-sub which I do not choose to receive because I am not going to go chasing people down to ask them why! 😁

The problem is with continuing to go through the Substack intermediary regardless is that it can be weaponized with chargebacks. And the more paid subs one gets the more the creator can get destroyed.
I would rather send you money directly knowing it was me. I know you get my occasional Kofi’s because you respond directly. This is literally the only Stack I read or subscribe to anymore. I just realised that the age verification shit is coming via a third country through my family member’s broadband plan being with a U.K. provider (I’m not U.K. but I’m not subtle about what country I’m visiting, I’m only back here for Christmas). It’s currently okay if I switch to mobile data. The net is closing. It’s fucked. I wish there was another platform we could all scream into the abyss on😂
