"....and it became increasingly clear that the worldwide pandemic would rank as one of humanity's singular mass traumas, Philip Zelikow began contemplating the enormity of the crisis.

As the director of the 9/11 Commission tasked with leading the inquiry into America’s worst terror attack,"

Remember that post about the HI Police chief who also worked the Las Vegas "massacre"?

They sure get their guys in the room, do they not? The Monster...they get their guys (and gals) in the room.

And then you ask why it is necessary to carry on that they are. And it's b/c we rely on trust to collectively survive. This is exploited time and again.

I agree. humans not good. I had a somewhat traumatic growing up too. A psycho alcoholic dad who beat our mom black and blue periodically and threatened to kill us a lot and was quite a scary person and even came close to bumping us off all at once, we think, in the desert in Arizona. He took us all out there with some man we had never seen and with a large hand gun but after using the gun to kill a rattle snake, put us all back in the van and drove back to civilization. That's the very abbreviated version of that event. I see it as humans not good cuz they are born sinners and commit sins as a result. I see it everywhere. But most people think they're just great.

Expand full comment

😢😢😢

That gun incident sounds like an attempt to "trauma bond" you all, gain control, etc.

Expand full comment

I do not know but he took us out in the desert where old mines were with that gun and he never took us anywhere else to speak of. He didn't want to be bothered. And why the other man? Why would he want a witness? Or watch someone else off us? Made no sense.

Wow. It seems those who've experienced trauma or forms of mind control can easily see what this op is.

Yes and no. People who leave cults often join another cult, known as "cult hopping." The mind control process continues in a different form. If a person gets out of one and is able to process what happened, they may not be subject to that but it takes some critical thinking or something.

I have a story about the early humans, not claiming truth or science, but a metaphor, an origin story. There were Homo sapiens (sapiens) and Homo sapiens (neanderthalensis). I call them the groupies and loners/independents for shorthand.

Well, we still have a few Neanderthal genes in some humans (that's the actual science part), but the groupie genes prevailed. BC the groupies won the evolution lottery big time. They hung out in crowds, trusted the group, and procreated more readily than the loners, since they had more opportunity to do that, plus they fought off wild animals, stayed warm, shared food, etc. The groupies are the Asch-experiment winners, too. (or losers, looked at a different way).

It may be that the reason for the loners/indies to pass along their genes is that they were not so subject to groupthink and made some better decisions when faced with stupid/fatal groupthink. They even helped the group by being canaries in the coalmine (mixing metapors here). They may have been the reviled "ahead of their time" folks who thought more deeply and critically.

It's a story I tell myself to help make sense of it all. Most of my family/friends/neighbors are in a groupie trance still. I occasionally find another person who sees outside the groupthink. Usually that person, if they let on that they know things, that person is shut out by the group(ies). The groupies feel unsafe with different opinions and can be vicious if prodded. The act on "feelings" instead of "thinkings". The independents see the unsafety of groupthink and may try to warn, but are called "chicken little" another fowl mixed metaphor. Of course, if the independents/loners decide to join forces those exploiting the groupies will try to stop them. (I note as I post on the SH substack 🤔)

Because the groupies identify as all warm and fuzzy so much of the time, we might underestimate the viciousness possible from them for those who step out of line. There are very few loner/indie genes, even in those who don't buy groupthink, so the groupie thing is in all of us.

Now…check your state, particularly if you live in a state with a democratic governor that hangs with the WEF or fin/tech philanthropaths, see if they quickly put together a similar “commission” or team comprised of industry, education, healthcare, government to assess and provide a roadmap of “recovery” and plan for the future in your state.

Our Governor (Maine) did….Forbes that committee real fast and they got right to work completing “the plan” for the future in record time with experts from the fin/tech sector laying out the plan to be rubber stamped by this Goliath of a committee. It’s called the Delphi Method. Look it up. And chances are…in your state if they did this….it resembles a 4th Industrial Revolution document with a focus on all things tech, stack and pack housing, more government involvement in affairs of citizens via tech (cradle to grave tracking through metrics…presented as shoring up the lives of the vulnerable), walkable mixed neighborhoods (15 minute cities) and lots of smart or green technology (better to track you with). All brought to you by the owners of our politicians…the technocrats who own the means and the machines.

And funny how fast they defined and then wrote the master plan….heck, in Maine the “recovery plan” was produced in a few months even BEFORE the actual economic and social destruction occurred from the prolonged public policies of isolation, fear, and surveillance. Imagine that.

But, Dr. Nass and the STEM smarties/thought leaders in the MFM want you to think if we just stop the WHO we will be winning. Notice how they never look into what is happening closer to home relative to how plans and policies are taking shape in our states. There may be a couple of states with a GOP majority pushing back or making declarations, but at the end of the day….the public does not understand that we have almost universally been bought and paid for….the real threat is not the WHO…or even the state legislator who does not truly understand….it is the government actors who are pumping out our rights to the highest bidder and our federal government is a good place to start with making names and connecting the dots…not generally talking about corruption and capture….but name the names, show how the “business deals” are made and what the real costs to Americans are….because you know the brokers of the deals don’t pay the same price. Were Senators and Representatives required to get the jab?

Caveat Emptor.

This has been happening in my city for much longer than novid and I've watched it with alarm. The tech, stack and pack housing, etc. People are blind to it and just join in. When I bring up an inconsistency or small objection, they just have blank stares. One neighbor who was a Libertarian and now is leading some net zero initiative locally. People are easily bamboozled. This comment got me: "I have no doubts about how mass evil goes down as I watched bewildered and sinister people bargain their asses off not to see."

Just spent some time visiting friends out of town and our host (60s) has heard me talk about why he should stop watching MSM every day and what the herd-cull was all about, etc. etc. And he was red-pilled a year ago about all that (including to expect people to start dying suddenly all around him and they have) and the Ukraine boondoggle, etc. And I swear... within the first 24 hrs there I realize he's back to watching Fox News each morning and scratching his head about why the Key Bridge went down and how "tragic" the Maui devastation is, donchaknow, and how we need to get those A-rabs mucking up the Red Sea shipping channels! .... ::head explodes::

I almost jumped down his throat in exasperation.

Bewildered. Just absolutely bewildered and "that world is lost to me" unwillingness to SEE. There are. so. many. just like him.

THAT is what is bewildering to me.

I did a bunch of posts on the Not a Movement last year.

It is not a movement. It is just a disparate collection of growing aware and bargaining people all sure they have seen all there is and eager to show this. And a metric shit ton of people who are planned run off safety valves.

We did not get here where we are in an utterly historic place in history without a lot of people protecting something: an income stream or a pal.

And they are each given a measure of plausible deniability to the point where you have to be pretty hard line tough love logician and also not get sentimental.

"Doob, Leonard W. (1950) ‘Goebbels’ Principles of Propaganda,’ p. 419-442, The Public Opinion Quarterly, Vol. 14, No. 3, Autumn, Oxford University Press (behind paywall). Doob was Policy Coordinator of the Overseas Branch of the Office of War Information during World War II, and then became Professor of Psychology at Yale University. Goebbels’ original document is (not entirely surprisingly) held at the Hoover Institute. It was translated in Lochner, Louis (Ed., trans.) (1948)"

1. Propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.

2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.

a. It must issue all the propaganda directives

b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale

c. It must oversee other agencies' activities which have propaganda consequences

3. The propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.

4. Propaganda must affect the enemy's policy and action.

a. By suppressing propagandistically desirable material which can provide the enemy with useful intelligence

b. By openly disseminating propaganda whose content or tone causes the enemy to draw the desired conclusions

c. By goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself

d. By making no reference to a desired enemy activity when any reference would discredit that activity

5. Declassified, operational information must be available to implement a propaganda campaign

6. To be perceived, propaganda must evoke the interest of an audience and must be transmitted through an attention-getting communications medium.

7. Credibility alone must determine whether propaganda output should be true or false.

8. The purpose, content and effectiveness of enemy propaganda; the strength and effects of an expose; and the nature of current propaganda campaigns determine whether enemy propaganda should be ignored or refuted.

9. Credibility, intelligence, and the possible effects of communicating determine whether propaganda materials should be censored.

10. Material from enemy propaganda may be utilized in operations when it helps diminish that enemy's prestige or lends support to the propagandist's own objective.

11. Black rather than white propaganda may be employed when the latter is less credible or produces undesirable effects.

12. Propaganda may be facilitated by leaders with prestige.

13. Propaganda must be carefully timed.

a. The communication must reach the audience ahead of competing propaganda.

b. A propaganda campaign must begin at the optimum moment

c. A propaganda theme must be repeated, but not beyond some point of diminishing effectiveness

14. Propaganda must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans.

a. They must evoke desired responses which the audience previously possesses

b. They must be capable of being easily learned

c. They must be utilized again and again, but only in appropriate situations

d. They must be boomerang-proof

15. Propaganda to the home front must prevent the raising of false hopes which can be blasted by future events.

16. Propaganda to the home front must create an optimum anxiety level.

a. Propaganda must reinforce anxiety concerning the consequences of defeat

b. Propaganda must diminish anxiety (other than concerning the consequences of defeat) which is too high and which cannot be reduced by people themselves

17. Propaganda to the home front must diminish the impact of frustration.

a. Inevitable frustrations must be anticipated

b. Inevitable frustrations must be placed in perspective

18. Propaganda must facilitate the displacement of aggression by specifying the targets for hatred.

19. Propaganda cannot immediately affect strong counter-tendencies; instead it must offer some form of action or diversion, or both.
