Spent the day in the belly of the healthcare beast. My mom took a fall last night in the memory care unit. Had to face it sans Doc Corncat who is on the other end of the planet.
Ain’t good. As if advancing dementia wasn’t enough, now they’ve found ‘something’ clogging her heart valve. Just shows up there at 82? Pfizer tendril probably. Also has a horrible UTI. Dad made the call for hospice and palliative care for when she gets back to the memory care facility. Sucks beyond words to see her completely confused and agitated. Palliative will help with that.
She has a good nurse for now. Don’t know what I’ll draw at shift change tomorrow but if that person is an idiot I’ll be gnawing their ass.
