Our government is saturated by evil people with evil intentions. And that's both parties. To them America is an endless source of money and power and perverted entertainment. Our Congress sits at the console of Sin and twists and turns the knobs of control with endless glee and abandon. They don't even care how badly they screw up, they are insulated from their onerous games. They do not have a normal care in the world. We, the regular everyday people are forced to try and exist inside this man made purgatory. Our lives are so far removed from the way they were once upon a time. We have this childish theory that if we only knew what's going on behind the scenes, inside the machine, then we could form a plan, design a strategy to survive in this insane theater of lies. We think, if we only knew the truth. Here's the truth...the truth is we are only worker ants. We exist to entertain the All Mighty Ones and keep their infrastructure running. They don't even need to pay us if the truth be known. If push came to shove we would work for food and cough syrup and Monday night football. The power brokers of the world laugh at us because we are laughable. Ten percent of us do 90% of the work. And 1% of us decide how 99 % of us get to exist. Percentages change when people like Soros and Pelosi and Hillary finally die. Those who are next in line to fill in for the kingpins have to go through a learning curve before they can get up to speed and try to outdo the levels of damage caused by their predecessors. My theory is that they do not die, they just transition into newer bodies and continue to wreak havoc on the rest of us.
It reminds me of the event horizon at a black hole. Once you are caught in its spin, you slowly lose the ability to turn back and are spaghettified into the abyss.
And it's why I applied Hannah Arendt's depiction of Eichmann on trial to him: "The Banality of Evil".
When I read Klaus Schwab's screeds, they are a lovefest to bureaucracy itself (at least Lenin and Trotsky were willing to get their hands dirty with revolution--Schwab, Fauci, and their ilk never will). Of course, he has a worse grasp of history than Karl Marx (and that's saying something!) which makes his scribblings downright delusional.
The best depiction of why people defend the bureaucracy I think is found in Shakespeare's Henry V (Act 4 scene 1):
"for we know enough, if we know we are the kings subjects: if his cause be wrong, our obedience to the king wipes the crime of it out of us."
While the worldview thus depicted is definitively (and literally) medieval, it lives on in the modern mindset that celebrates bureaucracy above all else.
It's why people defend the mask and jab mandates even when the unquestionable facts deny everything claimed about them. Obedience to the bureaucracy eliminates moral responsibility.
You see hints of this in the "Whales" like Glenn Greenwald and even Alex Berenson. In their recent articles and threads on the Ukraine biolabs, both have managed to slide right by the reality that the government program which funds the labs, the Biological Threat Reduction Program, is DESIGNED to pay former bioweapons researchers to tinker with dangerous pathogens. Bespectacled scientists playing god with vials of anthrax, tularemia, SARS-COV-2, and yersinia pestis isn't a bug in the program, it's a feature.
Yet they haven't last I looked addressed that core question of why people are tinkering with these pathogens in the first place.
Perhaps they hope their "obedience to the king" will save them from a reckoning?
Peter, I've been pondering doing a post on Klaus, more of a deep dive rather than using him as a punchline of sorts, but it immediately occurs to me that you would do a much better job at it! So that was some very interesting stuff that you just provided right here, thank you!
As to the whales, I'm going to have to think about this a bit. (Which I love! This place helps me sharpen steel.)
Of the two that you mentioned, Alex seems far more conflicted about the space that he comes from.
Glenn started indie, although of course, he used to write for The Guardian; and Alex used to write for the NYT. To me, Alex is the reverse of Glenn, he went red pill on COVID, but still is pretty est. in the tank on some of the foreign policy stuff.
Matt Taibbi, a year back or so, when he did Useful Idiots with RS gave one of the most softball interviews I've ever seen of Ro Khanna.
Maybe b/c of RS, or maybe b/c that whole show was comic and light, but even Jimmy Dore bares his teeth and he's a legit comic!
Shades of Jeremy Scahill with AOC. Contrast that with Max Blumenthal taking off the gloves recently and challenging Khanna on his shifting Ukraine stances. (I think Khanna is a giant fraud.)
Krystal Ball used to be on MSNBC, was a Democratic candidate who had some PAC ethical issues, to which she replied: sexism!
Saagar used to write for Tucker, was a Congressional intern.
Doesn't mean any or all are permanently tarnished people. They've all done some solid, good work. Esp. Glenn and Matt.
Anybody, at any point, can start cutting through it. Bereneson's work on COVID is good proof of that. Naomi Wolf as well.
I don't know. I genuinely don't know. This is my White Whale. I will keep pursuing it.
What. happened.?
I don't know why. Maybe because most of the time, I tend to agree with them. Something is unique about this particular crisis. And it is a crisis. Something happened.
And they are doubling down so hard on Ukraine and war, and so willfully oblivious on this one.
The Iron Law checks out to me and it makes total sense why the second group of people win out. We’ve changed names over the centuries but the concepts are the same. The organization is where influence and power lie. Call it a religion, or government, or “zombie” corporation (which is the most soulless version of the form because they stand for absolutely no higher minded principle than selling you something you probably don’t need… the degradation in purpose in what humanity organizes over might largely explain our civilization’s decline, no other factors required). People in that second group, which attracts the sociopathic, realize this and use the power of their God for personal gain. Rinse and repeat for all of time. The only good news is entropy is a natural law.
Great points! If I'm not mistaken the related "Iron Law of Institutions" frames this less from a "seize power" standpoint, and more from a "Protect your station within the institution" standpoint.
So it is perversely motivating to let the org. or institution fail as long as it preserves your little niche within it.
It behooves you to belong to an entrenched org. that can never win (think "War on Terror", they just make up new terrorists) so that you can keep riding the gravy train.
I have had maybe 5 conversations with people who have been triple jabbed and have heard that their experience with covid was a moderate edging towards more than they were prepared. At some point when the time is right I'll ask some pertinent questions.
In the meantime, history rhymes and repeats, governments lie and not sure what comes next.
The Intelligence Branch is an independent functioning branch of government, it is no longer a subsidiary set of agencies within the Executive Branch as most would think.
To understand the Intelligence Branch, we need to drop the elementary school civics class lessons about three coequal branches of government and replace that outlook with the modern system that created itself.
The Intelligence Branch functions much like the State Dept, through a unique set of public-private partnerships that support it.
Big Tech industry collaboration with intelligence operatives is part of that functioning, almost like an NGO. However, the process is much more important than most think. In this problematic perspective of a corrupt system of government, the process is the flaw – not the outcome.
There are people making decisions inside this little known, unregulated and out-of-control branch of government that impact every facet of our lives.
None of the people operating deep inside the Intelligence Branch were elected; and our elected representative House members genuinely do not know how the system works.
Many people think defunding the Intelligence Community is a solution; it is not…. at least, not yet.
Worse yet, the corrupt divisions deep inside the U.S. intelligence system can now fund themselves from multinational private sector partnerships (banks, corporations and foreign entities).
It's like we learn, but then just get lazy and soft and "forget".
The diabolical magic of Klaus and Gates and Co. was their realization that they just had to create a large enough organization, (Global Banking), that a whole bunch of people would swear allegiance to it not directly, but through their captured subsidiaries, Big Media, Big Pharm, Big Medical, Big Weapons, Big Tech all owned by Big Hedge Fund.
And our Nero's are fiddling while the World burns down.
it’s all agenda 2030... Diana West on Malone... was initially on-board with Malone, but too many red flags... he’s just covering his ass for his role in the DC/Bill&Melinda/DARPA bio-swamp...
can’t read Malone’s ‘funnies’... the whole thing is sooooooo not funny, but do keep tabs on his ‘public service’

Dang SH. You bring the thunder! This article is great! So glad to discover your Substack!!!
This is so good. I'm bookmarking this and will come back to it over and over again I'm sure.
You need to put this on your swag when you get around to launching your commercial product line:
“The closer you are to power, the more that power bends you to its will.”
Hmmmm...I was about settled with "Team Radicalized", but...damn, MAA. :)
Why not both? 😁
Coffee mug, "Power..." T-shirt, "Team" Solved.

Man, do I have some sharp commenters up in here!

CDC our with ‘guidance’ on what to do if exposed to nuclear fallout... so maybe they’re still deciding which lever to pull next.

Thanks Sage.
Amazing how many just blow right by what they thought getting "vaccinated" meant just two short years ago.
Amazing how quickly, many just accepted the new definitions, just kept plowing ahead with jab after jab. Like a sunk cost fallacy.
But recall, Son, that before that, it was the Democrats who were cautioning against the "Trump Vaccine".
Same vaccine, errr...."vaccine".
How'd I miss this?
"Protect the tribe. Protect the organization"
We've seen this OVER and OVER and OVER again.
